Summer Mocktails!

No alcohol for you this summer? Choose a refreshing mocktail from our list of favourites below!

Cuddles on the Beach

What you need:

2 cups of chopped watermelon
1/2 cup lime or lemon juice
1 cup of soda or tonic water
1/2 cup warm water
4 teaspoons of honey

Method:

Mix honey and warm water together
Add lime or lemon juice and allow to cool
Add all ingredients to a blender, or use a stick blender and mix together.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
Pro tip: Add ice cubes to the blender to make a nice icy treat, OR freeze the mixture to make popsicles!

Orange You a Hot Mamma! 

What you need:

2 teaspoons of lime or lemon juice
2 teaspoons of honey
2 cups orange juice
2 cups warm water
1 cup of soda water
Mint leaves
A fancy wee umbrella if you are feeling extra fabulous today, go on you deserve it!

Method:

Mix honey in with warm water until honey is dissolved.  Allow to cool and add all other ingredients EXCEPT mint leaves
Add to an ice tray and freeze
Once frozen, add to blender and blend until desired consistency
Garnish with mint leaves
Makes about 3 mocktails

Blueberry Babe

What you need:

7-8 blueberries (can be frozen)
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons lemon juice
soda water

Method:

Smash 4 blueberries into the bottom of a glass
Add honey and a dash of water
Stir until well mixed
Add lemon juice, soda water and remaining blueberries (and ice if desired)
Add a fancy umbrella to feel super fancy and amazing


Cucumber Cooler

What you need:

4 cups of coconut water
Thinly slice a cucumber (about 10 slices – 5 to use in the drink and 5 to snack on while making the drink!)
1/3 cup lime juice
Mint – chopped

Method:

Add the surviving slices of cucumber slices to the coconut water and allow to sit for a few hours in the fridge
Add lime juice and the chopped mint along with ice and drink!
A great one to have in the fridge all the time


Bees Knees Please!

What you need:

Cool tap water
1 lemon
2 tablespoons honey
Raspberries (the more the merrier!)

Method:

Add all ingredients together, leaving a few raspberries to garnish – because what’s a mocktail without a garnish right?
Leave in the fridge or freezer for at least 4 hours.
Add garnish and enjoy, best served really cold!

Super Cubes

What you need:

Cool tap water
Raspberries, blueberries, lemon juice, strawberries or any other fruit or fruit juice you have.

Method:

Fill the ice tray and add a special wee something to add something extra to your drinks. Freeze and enjoy!
You can also pop in a popsicle stick and make small frozen treats for little ones!
